Kevin and Becky (Bindrim) Miller, both natives of North Carolina, met at UNC-Asheville through Inter-Varsity Christian Fellowhip.  They were both interested in ministry so after Kevin spent a couple of months in Kenya and Becky in Mexico City, they were joyously wed in 1990.

  Kevin worked as Environmental Engineer at Gerber and Becky taught in public schools while saving money for seminary.  After receiving MA's from Columbia Biblical Seminary (Kevin in English Bible and Becky in Christian Education) they moved to Charlotte where Becky taught Bible in a public school and Kevin became a Youth Pastor.

  God began blessing them with children so they decided to move back to Kevin's hometown of Hayesville, NC.  Here Kevin pastored a small church and worked in the office of his uncle's well drilling business while Becky homeschooled the children.

  Their contact with Hearts for Heaven began when new dentists (Roger & Beth Briggs) moved to Hayesville when Kevin was about eight years old.  His parents invited the Briggs to a Bible study and they eventually became good friends and God-parents of the Briggs' children.  They have followed and admired what God has been doing through the Briggs in Guatemala through the years.

    The Millers visited Guatemala when Kevin's parents led a mission trip here in November of 2007.  On this trip they learned of an opening for a three-year term to help manage the ministry.  They pursued God's will and felt His leading to accept this opportunity. In three months God provided pledges toward their monthly support through churches and generous individuals so they moved to Guatemala on August 14, 2008.
