Short Term Mission Teams Wanted!

Hearts For Heaven enjoyes hosting motivated short-term mission teams. We are in need of VBS teams, medical, dental, and construction teams. We can host teams up to 15 people in a safe, well furnished Missionary home. The teams can be youth, adult, or mixed groups. We will place you in areas that will be spiritually beneficial for the Guatemalan people as well as the team members themselves.

This is a great way for many people to experiance the commision of God in Biblically rich enviroment while meeting the needs of the needy in Guatemala. Many team members have experienced personal growth and deeper relationships with Christ through their experiences serving in Guatemala.  If you or your church would like more information, please contact us via email at rbbriggs2000@yahoo.com.

 Laurales Kid's Room Addition Minimize

DSC_1061.JPG   We are impressed that a church as far west as possible (in the corner between Mexico and the Pacific ocean) has decided to rip it's roof off in order to add a second level for their growing children's ministry.  The church is led by the dynamic and loving Pastor Wilfredo and have more children than adults.  DSC_0941cu.JPG

This community is about 20 minutes down a dirt road in the middle of a banana plantation.  The people walk most places they go and therefore greet each other daily and seem to care deeply for one another.  Four men in their 80's have lived there their entire lives and remember when there were only five houses there.

IMG_3312 small.JPG  We had planned to have the project completed by now, but some delays have prolonged this project through the summer.  The church meets amid the construction and are very friendly to us eventhough they have to meet under a partially opened roof.  We had purchased wood for the floor, but the money was stolen from the lumber yard before the wood was delivered.  The lumber yard could not repay but is hoping to replace the wood in October so we can build a house for another pastor.  We have purchased (again) and received the wood for the floor and are hopeful that they will at least be able to use the room after our next (7 hour) trip out there.

 Oscar & Telma's House Minimize

IMG_3843 O & T Close Up2.JPG  Our national director lives in a very dangerous apartment beside a tienda where drunks congregate.  He has been building a new house in a better part of the city for about ten years now.  While it is not close to being completed, he is hoping to be able to move in sometime this year.  IMG_3448 cu.JPG

Hearts for Heaven has been helping as supporters provided funding and teams came down to help.  Since violence in the city seems to be increasing so are our hopes of moving this precious family to a safer home.
